This past Saturday Riley and I were invited to Mud Run Houston, and we had the time of our lives!
I didn’t realize that it was so many races going on! Riley and I participated in the Kids Mud Run, but there was also a 5k, 10k, and even a Dog Mud Run!
Over 200 people gathered together in the middle of Waller County for one reason, and one reason only…to get muddy.
Since 1999 – The ORIGINAL National Mud Run Adventure Race Series. Mud, Music, Food, 30+ Obstacles, Beer, More Music, Crazy Costumes, After Party, Teams…built by former Marines!
I’ve been to a few marathons and races in my day, but this event by far was the smoothest process ever! From the registration to the actual races; we were COMPLETELY entertained!
Of course, Riley’s favorite part was the actual race. It seemed to be about 50 kids running alongside their parents in the kids division, and they all loved every minute of it!
I mean what kid wouldn’t want to run in mud, right?
We were also surprised to see that even in the kid’s run there was quite a bit of obstacles! Whether it was swimming through muddy waters, climbing over a barricade, or even crawling under a platform! We were up for the challenge!
If you haven’t about to been to The ORIGINAL Mud Run, you are really missing out! The owner Vanessa works her but off, and is so sweet!
Check out their Facebook page here, and make sure you get your tickets for the next Mud Run!
Next year, I want to get a group of 20 mothers and daughters together and make a team with matching shirts!!
Ladies, are you down with that!?
In the mean time, check out some of our photos from this event!
Thank you sooo much to The Original Mud Run for allowing us to come experience such an awesome day! We truly appreciate you, and will be back next year with our girl gang! 🙂
